In December 2013 the Government announced funding for the Coordinator General for Remote Indigenous Services will cease and the role and function of the Coordinator General will conclude when the appointment of the current Coordinator-General expires in January 2014. The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet will take over responsibility for oversighting the requirements of the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Service Delivery until it expires on 30 June 2014. This website will remain live as an important resource for information relating to Remote Service Delivery.
